Our Story

Husband and wife team, Genevieve and Damien Rowe, are the partners behind the brewery.

From dream to reality, this brewery has been in the pipeline for nearly a decade with a love of beer and the science behind it. Crafty Robot Brewing has been designed to brew quality small batch beers in a variety of styles and flavours. The beer is crafted using a scientific approach WITH CONSTANT EXPERIMENTATION. 

WHY THE NAME CRAFTY ROBOT BREWING? Finding an original name for a brewery is harder than we thought and is something we have been considering for years before opening. We wanted our name to represent our scientific approach to brewing. Damien’s nickname growing up was Robot and we felt that was A PERSONAL TOUCH. Crafty has the obvious link to craft beer but it is also a bit of a paradox to a robot.  The Robot, who we like to call Eddie, is a modern take on the classic Robot imagery we have grown up with.

WHY THE CBD? The Grote Street premise we felt was a perfect fit for us. Genevieve and Damien are both City of Adelaide residents and believe there is a strong community feel, among residents and businesses, that would benefit from this type of sociable space. There is plenty of room for workers, families, and even PUPS.
